Ms. Port always looks impeccably refreshing! She's always willing to take fashionable risks with a dash of funk. This Cali-girl gone Big Apple city side-walker knows how to pick the right color tones to compliment her beachy hair and skin tone, giving her an ethereal aura... simply magical. Regardless of how big or small the event is, Whitney knows exactly how a young lady should present herself.. sophisticated, sexy, yet youthful.
When I think Dolce & Gabbana on the red carpet, no other stars come to mind than Kristen Stewert and Scarlett Johansson. Both are always caught rocking Dolce's frocks to multiple public events. It almost seems as though Dolce & Gabbana designs flattering pieces especially for curvy, young women. The dresses fit them like a glove and does not overpower the star. To the contrary, Dolce simply accentuates the stars.
You don't let the dress wear you... you wear the dress.
It's amazing how two stars from a completely different personality spectrum can portray a different take on D&G sexiness.
- Twilight leading lady, Kristen Stewert emulates a sexy, rough-around-the-edges, glam rock look (those shoes by the way, are to die for)...
- Iron Man 2 vixen, Scarlett Johansson, never one to shy away from body-hugging pieces, has a firm grasp and understanding of her curves. Scarlett knows exactly what type of silhouette flatters her the most! Looking every bit the part as a sexy summer siren. The green certainly compliments her soft, beachy blonde waves giving off a spruced up summery version of old Hollywood glamour.
P.S.: Absolutely love the back-zip with a cut of mesh and a black zip-down that accentuates the trail down her back.
Scarlett rocks a pop of yellow in a beautiful Preen number at the Guys Choice Awards. Stars have been repeatedly spotted in Preen left and right. The brand first caught my eye on an episode of Gossip Girl, which brought the spotlight to the beautiful line. Known for their tasteful, form-flattering silhouettes, romantic draping, and creamy color and textures... Preen's pieces are reminiscent of delectable cake frosting..
Who else is known for rocking simple and clean cut looks in black that are far from basic than Charlize Theron? Okay, yes, she raised the stakes on the "bold and the ugly" in Monster and hasn't yet made a remarkable film since... but she knows how to sex-up her age in fashion forward looks. Never one to shy away from short minis, you won't be seeing her covering up like an old maiden anytime soon. Charlize definitely was the crowd pleaser at the Guys Choice Awards done-up in none other than head-to-toe Versace. Charlize has always been known for having a more athletic body with wider, broader shoulders and a height that towers over much of Hollywood's leading men... but she understands how to dress right for her body.
Tidbit: For ladies with an athletic build like Charlize, you can still rock a femme fatale look without looking like you can win a bar brawl beat-down. Subtle shoulder cut-outs can slim down the shoulders when the cut is strategically cut in the upper most tip of shoulder. Refrain from a cutout that is too wide because it will make your shoulder look broader. A smaller cut-out would do the trick. A one shoulder top or dress with a slanted neckline draws a visual line that will lengthen the neck and slim down the shoulder width!
As I always emphasize, every woman can pull anything off. It's all about the cut and strategy of these little nips and tricks...
And how about those shoes? Futuristic, sexy, yet a little Edward Scissorhand-ish...
