Recently, I went on a little getaway with the most important woman in my life: my mother! I'll post soon with a photo journal of the trip. But this shot I took of the summer palms from my resort's balcony view was actually what inspired me with the outfit. The most enriching part of traveling is the inspiration that comes to you in so many ways or forms...
Off the Hanger: The Real Girl, Real Way.
Everyday should be treated as your own personal fashion show. If you're going to step out to start your day in this world you might as well treat it as the art form that it is and have fun with it! I had so much fun with this look toying with textures and colors. The blouse gave a tropical resort vibe. But I didn't want it to look too conservative (as blouses tend to give an office-type vibe) so I decided to dress down the formality for a practical day out by pairing it with these comfy, almost gym-inspired shorts to make the look a little more playful. Limited on time (as always), I quickly slipped on my 2-Toned Camel Rachel Roy wedges, grabbed my Top Shop purse (from two winters ago), and ran out the door in what was a quick city-appropriate ensemble for an everyday city girl.
