Took a sweet escape to Las Vegas over the weekend with some of my nearest and dearest friends to let loose and reacquaint ourselves with the nightlife this sinful city has to offer. First night in, I insisted on swinging by my favorite sweet stop, Sweet Factory. On a sugar rush express. The night's topper: goblet of berry bliss cocktail anyone? Yes, please.
Fact: I am one of those odd ball females who don't usually take a liking to chocolate. For Valentine's Day, I would much rather receive a plate of homemade bolognese spaghetti than a box of heart shaped chocolates I woud end up feeding to my older sister *which is usually the case
So when my sister sent me on a special mission to pay a visit to her favorite chocolatier in the city, Payard, I had a specific shopping list from her. Two bars of dried berries white chocolate bars and brandy flavored macarons. Unfortunately, they were out of the brandy, so I had to improvise. I just knew walking into the grandiose chocolatier that if the "queen of chocolate" says it's so good that "the cocoa literally flakes off the bar when you snap a piece off" then it's a must try -- Fact: she practically can receive a degree for her indepth understanding and taste for good chocolate.
Decisions, Decisions: black or brown? After my wardrobe had undergone a long term betrayal to the color black & established an alliance with a multitude of brown shades, I caved: black it is.
