Thought I would press the brakes a little this past Memorial weekend, but it was anything but. I went seaside to Laguna Beach for a zen-ful brunch, Beverly Hills wayward to the Peninsula for my sister's afternoon tea with her closest gal pals, and even off to the land of cow-stench in Corona for a relaxing and fun night hanging with the gang over poker, UFC, spaghetti, and wine. Dressed up, dressed down and it seemed like the weekend was bustling nonstop. This is the life of a chameleon who dresses prepared for the company it keeps.
However, a weekend isn't a relaxing weekend without a hearty brunch downtown on a warm Sunday afternoon. I could've sworn I heard birds chirping louder then the honking of cars. A debriefing session with a pal was in session. What better place to blabber about all things current than a favorite quiet spot of mine, Larchmont Bungalow. One order of lobster benedict. One order of a long craved breakfast burrito. And two happy campers dilly-dallied off wandering about a small street of tempting stores that attempted to lure me in. Luckily for my morning burrito, I was experiencing extreme food coma that was the cure to the shopping itch.
(Some photos of what I wore to the afternoon tea party) I was in the mood for something soft yet structured with a dash of an edge. Sure the tunic was the color of a Tiffany's box, but I thoroughly enjoyed playing around with different tones of yellows mixed with a brisk white. For some reason, it felt quite refreshing. Just as refreshing was getting the honor of meeting the cutest baby on the planet, Chrystin! I felt like a baby holding a baby given that at the instant, I got booted to be the second youngest lady at the table!
Cheers to a productive weekend full of love and happiness!
Xx. J
