Today's Mood: 04.26.12.

There's beauty in the unknown yet fear in the uncertainty of the future and what's to come. I feel like the last 2.5 years were spent investing in weaving a safety net for plans and adjustments in life I know are expected to approach as an typical passage in life. There are pre-planners... and then there are species like me who pre-plan not just her future in the next year but her "future future". Tangled between the present and the future. Maybe this is why I seem all over the place in the eye of a spectator. But hey, better to have dabbled in a bit than not at all - that's my life motto. Call it insurance but I can sleep better knowing the last few years were invested for a purpose. Now that the future is wrapped up in a pretty imaginary box, I can live vicariously in the present  -- Live/Love Life Fearlessly. Cheers. Xx.

Personality in a Duffle To-Go Please

Just returned from a quickie trip to Las Vegas for an old friend's birthday. Given that I literally only had less than an hour to pack, I had an appropriate strategy I seem to be known for: throw whatever into one little duffle bag and hope to goodness some good mix-match can come out of it. This meant, throw a piece of different types of moods and vibes into one bag. On top of that, I finally recovered from a deadly cold post New York, what's the best cure? Strawberry flavored snacks and all forms of cookies that bring me back to my childhood memories.

Risky...

No such thing as winter storage.

Warm up open toe high heels because there's no such thing as stowing anything away as seasons come and go. Be fearless and transform your heels into wannabe ankle booties. What does it take? All you need is a pair of tube socks- Spend big bucks at Banana Republic or J. Crew or do the more sensible thing.. Steal some from a man's closet. P.S.: As much a comeback nerds have made in the past few years, no, you don't need to make extreme measures to go fish for your nearest Steve Urkel at your nearest electronics convention ;)

News Flash: Who said you can't have a dressy sloppy day? Sweats go just as well with an appropriate heel. That's why i decided, the cold may come in and out, but my devotion to my fav Marni heels? Not going anywhere. Amp up the fun in funky, minus the frump.

Blue mood

Today I'm wearing a easy breezy slightly sheer top from Fluxus. And my newly purchased jeggings from Top Shop this past trip to New York. It's become a ritual to bring home 1 pair of Top Shop pants each trip (funny I know).

This cold that's going around is vicious. Not feeling very vibrant today, therefore comfort is key. Xx.
